IT Park for Belgaum

CM to lay stone for IT Park on February 23Saturday January 20 2007 12:32 IST
BELGAUM: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will lay the foundation stone for the IT Park at Waghavade village, near here on February 23. The government has planned to establish IT park in 100 acres of land in the village.The government has plans to establish a Javali Park in the same village. The Javali Park will come up on 69 acres of land.A preliminary meeting was held here on Friday in which the details about IT Investors Meet were discussed. The IT investors meet will be inaugurated by Chief Minister on February 23. Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and District Minister Shashikant Naik will participate in the IT Investors Meet.The preliminary meeting was presided over by Amitha Prasad, the Regional Commissioner. She said that about 1,000 IT investors would attend the Meet. She urged the officials to make the Meet a success.The Government has sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for the IT Investors Meet. The Meet will be held at Viveswaraya Technological University, Mache, near Belgaum.Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shalini Rajneesh, Superintendent of Police Hemanth Nimbalkar were present in the meeting.
