The Large and Medium Industries Department on Monday cleared 65 investment proposals

BANGALORE: The Large and Medium Industries Department on Monday cleared 65 investment proposals worth Rs. 1,065 crore in the State.
Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries Murugesh R. Nirani told presspersons on Monday that all proposals were below Rs. 50 crore, and they were in the field of information technology, hospital, tourism, automobile, pharmaceutical and engineering sectors.
The projects would provide 29,024 jobs after their completion. The investors had shown interest in Tier II cities such as Belgaum, Mangalore, Hubli-Darwad, Mysore and Davangere, he said.
Karnataka Udyog Mitra would clear investment proposals of Rs. 1,000 crore every month.

When we were fighting for the Vidhana Soudha Building nobody came and stood by us or rendered support. When the Government approved it and wants to go ahead all politicians want it near their lands. We are clear from the begining, let the government decide wherever it wants to, we will welcome it.
Mr. Basavraj Bommai, Belgaum District Incharge minister had a meeting with me and I told him the whole situation and he asked me to conduct a survey and give him a feedback.
